Best Tips to Build A Boss Brand

Greetings my beautiful spiritual entrepreneurs!   

Today we are going to break down how to build your brand!  Here are a few things to look out for when you are building up your own personal brand. 

First things first, people buy things from people, not from computers, emails or companies.  For this reason you must ramp up the personalization for your brand.  Since you are your brand, assuming you're running a small business here, then we need to up your emotional and personal interaction with your customer.  

But first, let's talk about how the big brands do it like Coke and Pepsi. In blind taste tests Pepsi wins by a large margin but Coke outsells Pepsi by a large margin.  (Pepsi even hired Michael Jackson in 2009 for the "New Generation" Pepsi ad...the YouTube Video has now over 107 million views and they still haven't beaten them.)
 
Why is this?  A good brand is trying to get you to predictably feel an emotional response like happiness, sexiness or whatever they are representing in their ads.  So therefore, when you taste a Coke you’re drinking a feeling. You are drinking your own feelings!
 
Stories that we create on auto pilot are what a good brand will try to get the customer to do. Meaning, the customer sees themselves in the story that the brand creates, unbeknownst you, the consumer.
 
If we keep acting the same way on auto pilot to the same question then it creates a habit. Habits don’t have conscious awareness. Much of what drives our behavior is unconscious.  Therefore, we outsource our entire unconscious behavior to the environment that we live in, ie, your living room, netflix, your phone and instagram.  
 
Remember when I told you that you need to have a plan or you're going to end up in someone else's plan?  That's what I'm talking about.
 
Tricks of a good brand.
 
1. Remember we talked about loss aversion?  It’s the strongest pull to get a customer to do anything so make sure you talk about what your customer will LOSE if they don't buy your product.
2. Social proof and conformity. This is the tendency to decide that something is the right choice because other people have been doing it.  Make sure you have social proof that others are getting a result.
3. Do your research - Study and learn from other successful brands in your vertical and also big successful brand that you admire.  What are they doing right?  What are they not doing right?
4. Have an open mind.  Be flexible and listen to your customer.
5. Be clear about where your talent is. Your branding will feel off if you're trying to sell a vibe or a concept or a product that you're not an expert at.
