How to use free content to amp up sales
Greetings Warriors!
The concept of free content can be a bit of a stumbling block to digital course creators. At times it can seem counterproductive to spend hours, days, weeks working on projects that don’t necessarily have any immediate monetary gain. And yet I consider free content one of the key foundations to building a successful online business.
The idea of sharing what I know for free comes fairly naturally to me for a number of reasons.
- I’m passionate about my mission, vision, and purpose. I love sharing that with others.
- I love seeing people win, and I light up when someone tells me that my free content has inspired them.
- We are all in this thing together! So helping others has always been my main focus, not monetary gain.
In case you’re wondering exactly how I implement free content within my online business, let me share a few examples with you.
1. Mailing my list a free gift
When someone signs up to my mailing list, they receive a free membership to my Meditation for Members section. There are a bunch of really great meditations that I recorded on my own and I'm very proud of. This inspires people that I work with to do something similar for their clients and fan base. It's really not that complicated to create your own meditations and it was a fun creative way for me to express myself.
2. My Free Masterclass
Last year when the pandemic hit, so many people were stuck at home and ready to learn something they had always wanted to do. In the initial weeks, we were constantly being told what to do like “wash your hands” or "wear a mask". To take my own power back, I created and released a free Masterclass that can help spiritual entrepreneurs grow and scale their business by building digital courses. Several months later, this free content is still being constantly used. I’ve received hundreds of comments from grateful healers and business owners who appreciate that I released such detailed free content at such a difficult time.
3. My Social Media Pages
I have a pretty strong presence on my social media on both Instagram as well as Facebook Groups. Both of these areas are use to connect with my fans and also provide inspiration, motivation, and great business tips and tricks.
