You made it to Friday, congratulations.  I hope you have something epic planned for the weekend.

Today I want to talk about Essentialism and how this can directly improve your life and your business.  How many of us are running around trying to do it all?  This constant craziness ends up making us feel emotionally and mentally exhausted…like we are running underwater and getting nowhere.

Essentialism is not about getting more done in less time.  It is about getting only the right things done.  There are two types of people:  Essentialists and Non-Essentialists.

A Non-Essentialist thinks:  “I can do both.” and asks, “How can I do it all?”

An Essentialist thinks: ”What is the trade-off I want to make?” and asks, “What can I go big on?”

A Non-Essentialist is typically stretched too thin, feels overworked and underutilized, and is often busy but not productive.

Today's topic is picking a niche!   

I have a lot of people who come into my business as generalists. This is the main reason why they can’t scale their business. 

It may seem counterintuitive because you may be thinking a broader audience might net you more sales but this couldn’t be further from the truth. 

Stick with me on this one.  

First let’s start with these questions:

STEP 1: What kind of transformation are you providing?  What’s the big promise? Are you going to change someone’s life?

When Melissa first came to me with her healing with horses program I thought “Oh this will be interesting! How are we going to digitize being present with a horse?!”

One of the glaring issues with Melissa is that she was severely undercharging for her services.  This is actually pretty common with us healers.  Most times we don’t really understand that value that we’re providing so we either give it away, barter for it, or charge a really low rate. 

When Melissa came into my Warrior Mastermind program it’s the first issue that we addressed. It took some convincing but she finally was on board with raising her rates and creating a program which can heal many people.  “Well yeah!” I would say; “It’s you AND the horse of course you both should be getting paid well for this Melissa!”

Another thing we addressed is that many healers think that they have to be present and in person to heal another person...

Need some feedback!

In an effort to really serve my community of spiritual healers and spiritual entrepreneurs I’m taking ideas for my next free workshop. What types of problems are you encountering in your business right now? Spiritual business owners come to me with a variety of different concerns…. some of them are:

1. Low tech skills and need to really understand the digital marketplace and how to build and play in that space.
2. Not sure what to build their business around. They know they want to help people but are not sure which direction to go.
3. Lacking confidence. Many people come to me and say, well, I need to get this certification and that certification because they don’t think their powers are real.
4. Not sure how to get strangers to buy their products and become clients.
5. Lacking revenue...

I have just come off of a Warrior Mastermind Q&A call where my Mastermind members show up and ask questions about the course material or life in general.  These conversations are often pretty juicy and are a way for us to connect on a 2 x weekly basis to talk about how our businesses are going and what we need to do to move it forward.
